So, which .45 are you going to be buying, now that you have all this nice looking ammo for it?

There you go. Looks like good ammo - much like the several thousand I have loaded in my stash as well.
Now you just need a good 1911 to launch said lead projectiles with. Get to getting! |

I had a 1911 once. A gunsmith buddy of mine took it in on a job. It was a Norinco. He installed a good set of sights, front & rear. Match barrel, bushing & trigger. Cost me $300. It shot very well with 230 FMJ & 5 grains of Bullseye. That is the only centerfire autoloader I've owned. Hate chasing brass so after a year I sent it down the road.
My only 45 ACP platform, bottom sixgun. |

Forgot to finish this up. The load is a match of sorts to the standard hardball load.
Here’s the finished product. I’ll package then in hundred packs. Last edited by LAH; May 11, 2013 at 09:19 PM. |

So you made a bucket of reloads without first evaluating them in the firearm you will shoot them in.

How many grains of promo are you putting under that lead? I have some Promo coming my way and I'd be interested to try it with .45 ACP.

There's no way those would chamber in my CZ. That ring of lead would have to be even with the case rim.

My 9mm lead reloads chamber just fine in my CZ75. Can't see why these wouldn't work.

Well, Chris in Va, of course they wouldn't chamber in your CZ, especially if it's a 9mm.

A .45 headspaces on the case mouth, not thr projo. That ring of lead makes no difference in the chambering.
