Remington model 6

I received these two pictures to judge a gun I know little about. I have not seen the gun just these two pics. I have the possibility of buying it and am curious as to the value. Sorry about the quality but this is all I have to work with. Thanks for anyone's input.

They are excellent little boy's rifles. My first gun was a Model 6. I still have it.
If the condition is as good as it looks, $300 is not out of line.

The swinging block (the breech's pivot is ahead of the chamber rear) Model 6 Boy's Rifle was IMHO a step down from the #4 Rolling Block Boy's Rifle, and while one in that condition is worth $300, I wouldn't pay any more than that.

Does the seller have stars in their eyes, or are they asking a reasonable price ?

I don't think this lady has any idea, it is one of a larger group and she wants to be rid of them. They belonged to her deceased husband, and she has had several stolen already by somebody doing some remodeling in the house. She isn't even sure how many were stolen. I posted some of the others on a Marlin forum, still have to research others. I'm going to try to make on offer, reasonable to both of us, for everything. There is other stuff to so I will have to drive up and see everything.

I bought one just a couple of months ago for a tad under 300...the ones with the flip up tang sight go for a bit more. Lover mine, have a soft spot for the older .22s anyway...just a lot of fun to plink with.
