Price check: 1967 .357 Colt trooper, nickel 80%

Took a beat up looking .357 Colt Trooper (serial dated to 1967) in trade years ago; tempted to sell it due to demand in the Colt double action market. The nickel finish is in rough shape, maybe 80% on a good day, but the action locks up tight. Shoots great. Shiny bore. Smooth double action, crisp in single. Rubber grips.

Whats an ambitious asking price these days?
Pics too big to upload, should I hit computer harder?
Would be happy to email.

I'd say about $350 based on description. An 80% nickel finish looks bad. Missing original stocks. Guns like this can be hard to sell.

$350? You are lucky to find any Colt for under $500 where I live.

Everybody has an opinion. I bought two 357 Troopers not too long ago. Maybe 3 years. Blued. One was about 75% and the other 90%. Paid $205 for the first one and $210 for the other. Allow for inflation and I think both would sell for $350-$400 where I shop and sell. The problem with nickel is that's beautiful when good, but when it starts to go bad it gets ugly real quick.

A couple months back I picked up a Cobra with bad nickel for $325. Shortly before that I got a 5" 38 Special Army Special with police markings for $275. So around here not all Colts go $500.

It's not real pretty but function is perfect and I never owned a snubby Colt so I bagged it.
