Loading 25 06

Iam loading 25 06 and seating the bullets at the maximum length of 82,5 mm but the shell will not load all the way into the gun barrell. If I shortin the length by runing back thru the seating die the shells will work in the guns action and load all they way into the barrell. I change the over all length to 79,9 mm. My question is... How deep can I seat the bullets into the shell on the 25 06?

Such minor adjustments are perfectly normal. You either have a rifle with a short throat or bullets with a longer than normal full diameter body. If you are under top book loads, the slightly deeper seating should cause no problem. I would reduce the max load by one grain just to be on the safe side since the deeper seating can raise pressures, but 3 mm (1/8") is only a slight change.

You didn't say how many times the cases had been loaded or if your loads are at or near maximum. I would suggest making sure your cases are no longer than maximum length (2.494"). If they are trim them to 2.484" and continue loading.

Sorry, I only think in SAE.
