2.5x30 scope for a blackhawk?

I have a LER 2.5 x 30 scope mounted scout style on a 94 winchester.
Just found a scope mount that fits my 357 blackhawk. would the 2.5 scope be suitable for use on the blackhawk?
if not, what should i get?
