Hard to find load data
I am currently loading 40 S&W, and due to the shortage on powder picked up some Hi Skor 800. Can anyone point me to some loading data for this powder?

Don't.
The information you need is available in the manuals and books we have suggested you read. You are heading down a dangerous path by doing things you do not understand. The powder you bought has some very good characteristics, but it is barely marginal for what you want. This hobby is dangerous for anyone who steadfastly refuses to try to learn.

Loading data
Places to find data. http://stevespages.com/page8a.htm Look at powder company manuals here for IMR powder. http://castpics.net/dpl/ The 40 s&w is a high pressure cartridge. Always use a starting load and work up. Any change in 1 component may change pressure. Bullets can be lead, jacketed , plated or coated, all will need different load data. 800X can bridge in a measure, because of the very large flakes. Always look into the case before seating a bullet to see if the powder level looks right. A new reloader should buy components that match the loading data. Good luck.

Stick with the published data. If the bullet you want to use isn't compatible with the chosen powder, look for another combination of components that is.

There's some under 200 grain data 800-X(if you're net searching just for 800, that might be the issue) .40 S&W data on Reloader's Nest.
There is no 'adjusting for lighter bullets' without proper data. The 200 grain only on Hodgdon's site just means they didn't test anything else.
