S&W 586 in .38 special

These were built under contract for the Brazilian National Police and the order was cancelled. They were distributed in this country. Anyone know how many with the 4 1/4" barrel were distributed and what would be the price of a one that is 'new in box'. Have they made any more since the Brazilian contract? Could these become a collector's item?

have seen only one in 2 years for 325.00 nib. they will become a collector, not many made and no more made.
