"The Birds"
I am in the middle of watching one of Hitchcock's movies, "The Birds" to be exact. This movie has always made me wonder one think, could an all out attack by birds be stopped.
Are their enough shotguns and/ or shells to do it? I have a shotgun and maybe a couple of hundred rounds of bird shot. However, birds number in the millions. I would need a little help. So, an all out assault on us by birds, would we stand a chance? |

Maybe - if the squirrels join them - we are doomed.

if you use high brass 1 and 1/4 oz. load of #6 and or #7.5. or a heavier payload of either shot size and a choke no tighter than modified. you can probably get 2 birds or more per pull of the trigger . if they are close enough together. hell use a saiga 12 loaded up with magnum birdshot. as far as squirrels that should work on them too. unless they are on meth. then i would use my kabar.

How Many?
The movie just ended. There was that scene in the bar where they are all debating the cause. There is that old lady that is some sort of bird expert. She mentions that there are some five billion birds in North America alone. I don't know the accuracy of this but if it is even remotely true Walmart will run out of ammo quickly.

Youd need a flame thrower for attacking flocks of birds
Sounds more like you just watch Resident evil? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh9vdL6LdE4 |

Never was much a fan the Birds movie but am a big fan of the one that was on before it, Physco.
Not sure what you could do to stop them from attacking but I think a motor cycle helmet and a winter coat would go a long way in keeping you safe. I mean there wasn’t any hawks or eagles. |

Somehow the thought of Tippi Hedren, carefully made up and blasting seagulls with a M4 Benelli turns me on.
