You say that you want a full sized, single stack .45ACP that's not a 1911?
You definitely need an attitude adjustment.
If you prefer the 1911 that's well and good, but telling someone they need an attitude adjustment because they are interested in a better overall gun is over the top.

As much as I like the 1911, I would go for the P220 over it with no question but I would certainly respect someone who preferred a 1911.

For pure target shooting the 1911 has a better trigger, but for all around use the P220 is a better and more reliable.

Yeah. I adore my 1911's...but push comes to shove. The SIG P220 would be my choice too.

However best of both into one. My SIG 1911 XO is pretty badass. And eats anything. If it was a sandstorm gun fight. I'd go SIG P220 lol (joke)

The frame to slide won't get as affected by dirt and such.

Like what? Glock 21? FN-45? M&P45? XD-45?

Explain?

Also...I came across a new SIG P220 carry for $800...? Is that too much? It's base it's the base model carry. 4.9 barrel.
Of those listed I would choose the FNP45 followed by the Glock 21. Keep in mind that for me personally both of these would be a compromise because I would have to adjust my grip but same is true for the CZ97B.

$800 is not a bad price on a P220 carry but personally I like the P245 better than the P220 carry but I am old school Sig.
