Episode 92 - Unload and Show Clear
If you've been shooting IDPA or USPSA for a while now, you must be used to this command. It's typically given at the end of your run in a stage to ensure that the gun is unloaded and cleared. Do you also realize that this is where you'll find the most dynamic and varied performances by the shooter? Everyone has their own way of making the gun clear. Rick and Larry discuss this and demonstrate some of the more common ones we've seen on the range.

Episode 95 - The Colt Tour, Part One
Steve had the privilege of visiting the old Colt factory in Hartford, CT and was given an in-depth tour of their new manufacturing facilities. To say that Steve was blown away by the skill and attention to detail of their staff is an understatement. It is something that happens very rarely but when it does, can cause a person so much grief. Hear all the horror stories Rick, Larry, Caleb and Steve have to share about match DQs, both from their perspective and from having doled out the penalty.

I have a lot of catching up to do first, only watched 3 episodes. The one on 22 practice, intro to steel challenge, and the one on strong hand/weak hand stance. All were excellent and I practiced some of what I learned yesterday on the strong/weak hand shooting yesterday at the range. It did make a difference

In the next few weeks, we'll have part two of Match DQs, an episode on prepping for Steel Challenge, and an interview with USPSA President Phil Strader. Thanks for watching.

Episode 103 - Interview with Phil Strader, President USPSA
Every year, the USPSA office in Burlington, WA hosts a Christmas party where they invite local USPSA members to visit their offices and celebrate the holidays, with lots of food, beer and wine. If you remember, Rick and Steve were at the party last year to interview Dave Thomas (Episode 53), the now outgoing executive director of USPSA.

This year, we're lucky enough that Phil Strader, the new President who took over the reins from Michael Voigt early this year, flew in to attend the party. Naturally, we jumped at the chance to get him on the show.
