Opinions on EAA Semis

Arent thy usually inexpensive?
How good are they?

Are they easily found?

Just basically overall thoughts

The EZ6 performed very well for me. the M88 was round and required either a long breakin period or quite a bit of polish for several users. The one I had became functional with Ball ammunition and with Remingto Golden Saber hollow points Some other jhps would dive into the feed ramp and stick.
Accuracy was good with both.

both can be searched on this forum and the highroad and the observations of several owners might tell you what you want to know.

The second gun I ever bought (first gun specifically for CCW) was an EAA Witness Compact with a polymer frame, great little gun. With the exception of having a hard time finding quality mags for it, I loved it. It was reliable, ate whatever I fed it without comlaint and best of all it was cheap, $265 brand new. In fact I wish to hell I hadn't sold it.

I've had two EAA Witness pistols, both .45's in the Wonder finish. One was full size, one the compact. The full size was accurate and reliable. The compact had numerous failure to feed issues but after these were worked out it was also accurate and reliable. Both suffered pitting type corrosion and had to be hard-chromed. Both experienced frame and slide cracking (five total in the compact, two in the full size) at round counts in the high 2000 to low 3000's. EAA refused to honor their warranty since the pistols had been hard chromed.
In summary- they were fun, accurate guns. I wished they had lasted longer.
