Mossberg 100 ATR Night Train

Whats your opinion on this?

Anyone? I saw it and was a little curious....

Does anyone own one or have experiences with this weapon?

It's better than a Remington 770, but that's not saying much.

You would be FAR better off with a Marlin XL / XS 7 or Stevens 200.

ive got a couple atrs that ive bought for grandsons first rifles. The ones i have are accurate and the 06 i bought for myself is extreamly accurate but the quality control is pretty rough and ive had feeding issues a few times with them. Nothing that would matter much in the hunting field but i sure wouldnt want it as a rifle i had to depend on to protect myself and family or one id want to take into battle. There plenty good enough for a first gun for a kid or a truck gun but thats about it in my opinion.

I have the regular ATR and it is good for one shot at 100 yards. No telling where the 2nd shot will end up unless you wait a very long time for the barrel to cool. I suspect very low quality barrel. Sighting it in is a total bitch but once it is sighted in it will kill a deer. IMO ..get something else or I will sell you mine...lol
