How much recoil an Aimpoint can withstand?

I'm possibly interested in running an Aimpoint CompM2 on my Marlin Guide Gun in 45/70, but am concerned about the recoil destroying the sight. Using 325 grain loads at about 2,000 fps, the recoil is fairly stout in the small 18.5" barrel. Aimpoints are rugged, but also very expensive sights and I would hate to destroy such a large investment. I would be purchasing it used, so the warranty would be void.

Does anyone have any insight on how much recoil an Aimpoint can withstand?

We've mounted Aimpoints and EoTechs on M2s and never had a breakage.

How many rounds have been put through them?

Has anyone on here broken an Aimpoint before?

I have seen Aimpoints on 7mm Rem Mag, 300 Win Mag, 375 H&H, 9.3X62, and 416 Rigby. I am sure the 45-70s recoil will not be a challenge to it.

Perhaps it has happened but to date, I have never heard of anyone breaking one. For the most part, they all seem to hold up pretty well. The only problem that I had, was an electrical connection to the battery. Sent it back and they said it was a manufacturing problem. Just cost me postage. ...
