Winchester AA Plus Powder
Does anyone out there have loading data for this powder? It's an old shotgun/handgun powder and I acquired a lot of it.It's still in sealed plastic bottles so I figure it's still good.Winchester won't give me any data because it's discontinued. Can anyone help??

What gun? I shot some of it in 12 ga but preferred 700X, so I shot the rest in .38 Special and .45 ACP. Loaded by guess and chronograph because I could not find pressure tested pistol loads.

AA Plus
I'm looking for handgun loads of any kind that you may have tried. No one seems to have any old published data.Anything you have on hand gun will be appreciated.
Thanks, George [email protected] |

I used the AA Plus left after shotshell trials in .38 Special, on the grounds that the ammo would be shot in .357 magnum revolvers so there would be a large safety margin.
Most at 158 gr lead + 3.6 gr AA+ = 768 - 816 fps depending on bullet whether wax-lubed cast or moly coated, and gun whether 4" Colt or 5" S&W. NOT A PUBLISHED OR PRESSURE TESTED LOAD, JUST ME AND MY CHRONOGRAPH. |
