I want to buy a kydex holster for my 1911 but are those type of holsters hard on a handguns finish , especially blue finish ?

I've carried blued 1911s in Kydex with no finish damage at all.

Spray the holster's inside with a LIGHT coating of WD-40 or silicone. It should help the gun slide easier.

If you will be in a dusty environment the grit that collects inside the holster will scratch the finish on your gun, but the holster itself shouldn't. Just keep the holster clean.
