i would say it's scratches, but it's on the same place on 2 of my ASM revolvers; one a Walker and one an 1860 Army?

It looks like a palm frond. This could mean it was one of the 12 revolvers carried by the Apostles as they accompanied Christ into the city of Jerusalem in the year 33 A.D.
It could be the find of all time! Then again.......maybe not. |

No it's not a Palmetto mark.

You're not gonna like this, but back in the day (1800's), when a gun was repaired, occasionally the gunsmith would leave a "maker's mark on it. Perhaps these were repair's by the same ASM tec and marked in the same fashion......but then again, they could be glyphs leaving clues to the whereabout's of the REAL info on the Kennedy assination !!

I'm going with Yggdrasil, the world tree, connecting the nine realms.
Now, I probably think that because I just watched the Thor movie. If it's not that, than surely it is something else entirely, or scratches by some part of the manufacturing process...or not. Of that I am sure. Last edited by Kadmos; January 28, 2012 at 11:32 PM. |

I've seen this before but do not recall if it has ever really ID's. Possible very early Palmetto mark, maybe not.
