Just got a new Sportsman's Guide catalog. They have an 1873 Single Action .44 in cap and ball for $279.97 for the 4"bbl and $299.97 for the 7 1/2"bbl. It's not listed on their website but it can be ordered from the website,using the "order from any catalog" option.
The stock numbers are;
G99-39070.....4"bbl $279.97
G99-39144.....7 1/2"bbl $299.97
G99-34054.....loading stand $19.97

All the looks, handling and the feel of the Colt along with the glorious smell of sulphur (pyrodex smells too much like dirty socks to me). Oh, I forgot, the original artridges were loaded with black powder. Very tempting indeed.
