I am just getting started and was wondering what was the best on line source for reloading supplies. Thanks for any info. Jeff

I try to locate powder and primers at local gunshows. Since there is a Haz-Mat charge for shipping them, you can frequently get a better deal locally. For the other stuff, there are tons of on-line sources, and I'll second the Midway recommendation, I get lots of stuff from them.

I also buy primers and powder at gun shows.

In case the prices seem a little high at Midway, remember the catalog prices are shipped prices. So, the price you see is the price you pay. That's good on Midway.
I buy powder and primers locally and order from Dillon a lot, but Midway is a regular source too. |

If it's pistol brass you need, try Starline. www.starlinebrass.com
Midway sells Starline, but at a markup naturally. Dealing direct with Starline will save you a few bucks and Starline also pays shipping. One small problem, Starline minimum quantity is 500 cases Jim ------------------ Lay up some blackpowder and flints The rest we can build, if need be |

They make it easy on me since they attend most of the shows around this area. I call them with my order, they bring it to the show. No hazmat fee. For components, I also recommend Midway. The only thing that pisses me off about Miday is, if you don't order from them for a cycle or two, they stop sending you catalogs. |

Hard to follow Clark's listings. But it's a good idea to find a local dealer who keeps a good stock of supplies and turns over the inventory. That way you get personal service, advice, informed about new developments, etc.
Besides, you're supporting local commerce. That helps keep your favorite gun dealer in business. Pays to cultivate a good working relationship with your local gun dealer. (He calls me with good deals on used guns.) |
