Help!!! Shotgun bolt stuck open...

Yeah, I don't know how I did it, but I took my Stoeger model 2000 apart for cleaning and when I put it back together, I pulled the bolt to the rear and it locked like normal. I then reinstalled the barrel and forearm and hit the bolt release button. The carrier moved upward and the bolt moved about halfway forward and stuck. The bolt will move back and forth inside the receiver, but will not go more than halfway forward.

I am thinking that if I can get the trigger assembly out of the gun, there should not be anything left to prevent the bolt from moving forward. Unfortunately, I don't know how to get the assembly out. If anyone knows, please tell.

Also, if anyone has any other ideas I'm all ears!

Republican: It sounds like when you replaced the bolt you missed the action bar. Take it down again and watch for the for the slots where the bolt and action bar mate up.

Unfortuantely, I cannot take it down again because I cannot get the bolt out of the receiver. The bolt moves forward a few inches and then hits something and stops. I cannot see what it is hitting.

I don't know that I will be able to get any pics that will show what is going on because it is inside the receiver, but I will take some tonight and post them anyway.

Got it fixed...

I just had to really bang on the trigger group pin to get it out. Once I pulled the trigger group, the bolt came out. I think that the hammer was stuck in the slot on the bottom of the bolt that ususally houses the front of the action bars.

Thanks for the responses!
