i have a load that works great with unique and a 240 grain swc even at 50 yards. today it was on the warm side and the group was so big it was not even a group.has this ever happened to anybody else.i have seen this in a rifle but never that bad.the factory 240 jhp shot ok so i no its not the gun,thanks,keith

Keith, I do not know if the load you are using is on the warm side but if it is the ambiant air temperature could most certainly cause the groups you mention. In fact it can cause velocity changes even if it is not a warm load. Sometimes a very small velocity change can play hell with a group. A temperature change can cause velocity changes.

What kind of lube and how long have they been loaded?

Lube meltdown can cause some big problems! Unique powder typically works great under all conditions--it doesn't absorb water, and velocities appear more related to charge volume than pure weight. IOW, it meters like he** but still does great!

i found the problem

lead in the bore cleaned it and dropped the charge some it works fine now.its a national lead bullet never had a problem with the d and j bullets ,thanks everybody,keith
