204 Ruger loads with 24 gr. NTX
Got out today and dang it was nice. Not much breeze early, and sunny and warm. Tried several different combinations. One stood out. 24 gr. Hornady NTX over IMR 8208 XBR. Funny thing was, several different powder weights look good (on the starting loads there were only 2-3 rounds per load combo for some.) Granted, two rounds touching does not a good load make, but there were three different loads that did that. Then at 29.8 gr. three rounds touching (see photo--two thru the same hole). And these are fairly smoking hot rounds. So I took the target to 200 yards and shot two more, and they were less than an inch, even with the breeze that had kicked up. Needless to say, this makes an old prairie dogger smile.

I also have limited my 204 to the 32 gr. but that 24 gr is impressive guess I need to break the little gril and try some 24s.

I'm also trying to make a good load for the ntx 24gr. What twist barrel you got? I have a model 10 1/12 twist... I tried h322 first because I had it already, not sure which other powder to buy first to try out .
