Glock 19 weird mark...

Got myself another G19. This time a 3rd gen. My 4 had to go bye bye. I bought it for $450 used. Whatever. Lol...

Anyways, I don't know why I never see this crap when I'm there.

What is this?

You mean the round circle? Or the little "line" next to the firing-pin hole?

Looks like a glock slide to me?

I can't see anything out of the norm?

Please elaborate on what you're looking at. I do not see anything out of the ordinary, and it looks the same as my G19 slide.

EDIT: Unless you're talking about the fact that it's missing an extractor, firing pin block, striker and back plate...but I'm assuming you disassembled the thing first.

If that's what you're talking about, you got jipped!!!

Lmao. You guys are hilarious! 9mm my bad bro.

No no no not the firing pin! I did take it completely apart before the pic. Just finished cleaning it.

What I'm looking at is the breech face. It's not flat. It looks like its been picked at with an ice pick or a chisel. -___- I'll try to get a better pic.

Google "Glock breach face" I did a little searching and it looks like damage from heavy use of metal casing /wolf ammo.

Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit.

This sucks. I'm going to shoot it tomorrow. Hope it doesn't feel like a grenade went off in my hands.

Anyone know how to deal with this? Or did I buy a ticking failure / paper weight?

Last owner was probably dirt cheap and only used wolf/tula ammo and probably was a truck gun, this is why I don't buy used guns for ccw.

A little hard to see with a phone pic. But there's like a crater, like a gash right where the arrow is.

Crap never saw that, I was looking at the circle I posted.

Looks like high round count plus cheap steel cased, can you get some photos of what the barrel/recoil spring looks like?

Lol seriously. But I think I'm keeping it.

150 flawless. Shot most ways reasonably possible. Regular, strong hand, weak hand. Rapid. Slow. Double an triple taps. Etc. not a single hiccup.

That was one shot every 2 seconds. Ignore the fliers lol.

None of those are worth worrying about to begin with, but the angled mark you circled is just an artifact from the broaching process they used to make the cut for the extractor.

OP, glad it seems to work. Sorry your Gen 4 was a dud. I had ejection problems for the first 500 rounds or so, but I can't remember the last time I had brass to the face now.
