Whats the best concealed carry 9mm?
Im looking for a small, thin, light, but powerful 9mm consealed carry. I've been looking at a Walther PPK/S .380, but i really want a gun in 9mmP not Kurz. I was also looking at a couple of KEL-TECs.Help.

I don't own one but the Walther PPS in 9mm looks interesting. I do own a P99 and love it, but it is a bit bigger than what it sounds like you want.

Kel Tec PF-9 or the Kahr seem to fit your needs.
I own the PF-9 and like it. Never fired the Kahr but checking it out in LGS I can say it has a nicer trigger. |

budget, features...
If you want a slick, concealment 9x19mm for protection, I'd suggest the well made SIG Sauer P239 DAK/SASII.
You can add 3 dot night sights and a CT lasergrip: www.CrimsonTrace.com . If a P239 DAK is out of your price range, a Kahr compact or maybe a Kimber, Colt or Springfield Armory in 9mm(1911a1 CDR or Officer model). For general protection or CC, I would look into the powerful .357sig caliber too. It's better than the 9x19mm and feeds well in short barrel/sub-compacts. |

Another vote for the Kahr line. Designed and built specifically for concealment.

I have a Kahr P40 and P380. My wife had a P9. All of these function perfectly and are very concealable. I don't even go jogging without the P380.

What's the budget? That's going to have an impact on choice...if the budget is tight, go for the Kel Tec PF9
I would check out Ruger's site for that new 9mm however. We can't post images on the forum anymore, but here's a link to it. http://www.ruger.com/products/lc9/models.html |

I'd have a hard time hiding the fact that I'm a Subcompact Glock lover, but if you want something thinner than the G26, I have come to really respect the Kahr PM9.
It's quite a quality little piece and has a very nice double action trigger. Those two characteristics might set it above some of the others of that genre. Hickok45

Two candidates
I would recommend either one of these from my experience - the small Kahr MK9 or the larger Sig P239. I use them both, depending on the situation and what I am wearing.

I'd also throw another +1 inmfor the walther PPS. Also gives you the choice of .40 if you want something a bit more potent.

There is a Kahr PM 40 for the .40 S&W....but I can't imagine shooting a .40 in uber small pistols.
