Foam for rifle case.

I have a hard case that I wanted to get new foam for so I could cut it for another rifle I"ll be traveling with.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a place to buy that?

If Walmart has foam it will not be closed-cell, so it will be almost the same as packing your case with sponges.

Walmart will have the egg crate foam where the bedding is. Or go to a fabric store like Jo Annes Fabrics, they should have what ever kind you want.

Oh I don't think the egg crate will work. Mine has that in the top but I was looking for something thicker I could put in the lower half and then cut out the shapes I need for my rifle and a few accessories. It came with the pick and pluck stuff which has since fallen apart so I was looking for something a little more heavy duty.

"...don't think the egg crate will work..." Yes it will. Any place that sells pillow or furniture making stuff will have foam that will do nicely.
"...has since fallen apart..." Any foam will deteriorate over time.

It didn't so much deteriorate as the little tabs between the pieces all ripped and started flopping about haha. That's why I wanted to get somethign I could just cut with a razor.
