Warning!! Warning!! Reloading Causes one to buy new guns!

Yep--already happened. I only started handloading in December and have already HAD to buy a new gun. I was reloading for a nice Savage 99 in .243, but the guy at the sports shop had to show me a Stevens M200 in 22-250 for $289.00 and , well, its mine now! It is a ball to shoot! While sighting it in I was able to shoot 2 groups that a quarter will cover at 100 yards. 35.2 g Benchmark over 40 gr Vmax--great on rabbits too. Never bought any factory ammo just went ahead and got 100 un-primed brass, powder, bullets and dies and went to it. Careful people.. it can get to be a problem!!!

Good work,
Keep working on your loads, until you cut $0.15 off that group.

45romeo, what you really need are some calibers that are hard to buy for or weak from the ammo companies. You should definitely have a 6.5x55, and where's your Ruger .45 Colt? The only thing that saves me is a brother who buys the latest old military surplus. All it costs me are dies: 7.5x55, 7.62x54R, etc, etc.

Give the guy a break it's only a Stevens. I know a Stevens is almost a Savage. but that is almost.

If I get to shoot this summer I expect my new Savage 12FV will give you that $0.15 My 12BVSS in .243 is almost there. it will give you 20 cents.

I found 20 rds of once fired 30-06 at the range this summer. I bought a Savage 111 in October so I could use them.

I use to have a Universal brand M1 Carbine rifle. It wasn't USGI, but it was a functional rifle. I just didn't get much out of it... wasn't very accurate and chucked brass a country mile, so I sold it off for what I paid for it.

Of course, I've still got a few hundred pieces of brass, a couple boxes of bullets and the dies.

So yeah, I'm looking for a Ruger Black Hawk in .30 carbine! It's really the only thing that makes sense as long as I still have the dies and brass...

Attention Brass rats and other reloaders: I really need .327 Federal Magnum brass, no lot size too small. Tell me what caliber you need and I'll see what I have to swap. PM me and we'll discuss.
