Anyone tried the "black bullets"

from such companies as Precision, Bear Creek and Master Blaster. I'm looking to eliminate smoke and fouling and the coated bullets show promise.

Has anyone tried these and, if so, with what results?

Thanks

I use Speer 148g HBWC in .38spl with excellent results (no smoke problem). Theirs is a black hard dry lube.

Hello. I use the Precision 200-gr. SWC in .45 ACP over 5.0-gr. Bullseye. The load groups better than the cast bullet I was using before and there is less smoke.

Best.

I've used the 255 gr Bear Creek bullets in my 45 Colt. They work really good. The only thing about the dry lube they use on the bullets, is that when reloading them...your fingers get a bit of that dry lube on your fingers.

I use bear creek in .45long colt for rifle and pistol and like em a lot.no leading and much less smoke at the indoor range. Not sure if they are the 'best' because my access to cast bullets is limited but I see no reason so far to go looking for other bullets.
