Hi-Yah!
These "training" videos never cease to crack me up. "Here, you stand still with your gun while I slice you to pieces a-la Steven Segal" Dear God help us.

Is there any proper training purpose for shooting sideways, gangsta style?
They did that an awful lot in that video. |

Having had someone try to stab me in the past, semi-successfully, and also having spoken with several other people involved in altercations with edged weapons I can honestly say that in my opinion this video is a joke.
Some things to remember if you're ever in a "knife fight". #1: You're going to get cut... #2: See rule #1... Heck, the police catch a lot of bad guys because they find blood at the scene of a stabbing that did not come from the victim. I.E. even though the BG was the only one with the knife, they still managed to get cut...

it is over the top and bombastic, but I think it is packaged that way to serve as a "flashy" advertisement..in any case it looks like it could be pretty intense and solid training, with some seemingly interesting solutions to common CQB problems..the stick and knife work reminds me of Silat

Yeah, I made very similar videos when I was around seven or eight years old.
That guy is beastly accurate hitting that steel plate at under 1ft. Anyone seen the Star Wars Kid video? Seems very similar to me .

And what's the deal with his sideways grip on all the firearms again? It looks like he trains his people that way too....
