Apparently, some animals are more equal than others. Not only has Governor Cuomo exempted Hauer from prosecution, he has granted Hauer an ex post facto waiver allowing him to continue to carry the gun in state buildings.

This reminds me of the situation here in Illinois where, despite there being no law (at the time) to allow anyone to carry a concealed weapon, it was common knowledge that Chicago City Council members had blanket approval to so carry. New York City has a long history of granting immediate carry licenses to rock stars and other celebrities who wanted such a license even though ordinary citizens had no chance to get a license even when a real need was demonstrated.

The mainstream media accepts this level of entitlement as normal and doesn't seriously question these things, similar to how President Obama ended the Washington, D.C. school voucher program which had helped disadvantaged children escape the public school system at the same time sending his children to an elite private school.

Wonder if this kind of behavior would be useful in lawsuits against NY's antigun laws. The idea that a certain class gets relief seems to be unconstitutional when applied to a basic right. But, what else is new?

Corruption - what do you expect from government?

Ditto - Disgusting!! I guess Governor Cuomo thinks he's above the law, and is on board with the system that treats law abiding citizens less equal than law breaking government leaders.

CORRUPTION!

That one made me snort beer out of my nose.
