Shotgun locking storage
Hi guys,
I'm looking for products that allow you to securely lock up a home-defense shotgun but still allow fast access. What's your favorite? pax |

I have a friend who bought the same locks used in police cars. He bought it as suplus on Ebay or some such place. Wired it into his house mounted it to a wall stud. He used a hidden switch but you could wire in a key, combination keypad, retina scan...

A couple of my favorites-
Mossberg Loc-Box http://www.mossberg.com/cgi-bin/comm...tion&key=95092 Simple to install and pretty inexpensive ($38.59), but reasonably secure. Put it behind a door or drape, inside a closet etc if you want the shotgun out of sight. ============================================= Homak Between the Studs Long Gun Wall Safe http://shopping.yahoo.com/67356813-h...fe-ws00018002/ Costs more ($117), more difficult to install, but pretty secure and takes up no exterior room as the door fits flush with the wall. Installs between studs that are on 16" centers. Available from various sellers, this is just the first one I found online.

The Mossberg device is one I considered...
I think there was a method to lock up a gun in the device (name escapes me) that fit between mattress and boxspring... Gun sat in it horizontal against bed and was pretty well out of sight behind blankets on a made bed... Brent |
