Wilson side or vertical sling mount - which is better?

The side sling mount from Wilson's works fine on my Scattergun Tech 870. Of course that turns the shotgun sideways when carrying. Since the stock has both side and vertical studs, I can always change it if need be on the rear, and that will tend to keep the butt in the conventional position when carrying.
