Head stamps?
I have some 5.56 military brass stamped "PSD" and some stamped "MAL".
They have crimped primer pockets. The "PSD" pocket is very tight, even after crimp removal. Please tell me what I have? I loaded them, I hope they are decent. The brass looks quality, but....?

Just found this website from doing search of TFL: http://cartridgecollectors.org/?page=headstampcodes
It looks like the MAL is Malaysian and the PSD is Korean! Cool Beans! Anyone else ever use this brass? What are you experiences?

I've not used either, but bought some new, unfired .45 Auto Match brass made by IMI one time that had primer pockets so tight that I had to run all the cases through my Dillon swaging tool just for my Dillon to be able to seat primers in them at all. The IMI match .308 Win brass I bought was also a little snug in that area, but nowhere near as tight as the .45's were.

I have the PSD head stamp in 7.62/308. I bought 1000 rounds mixed military about a third was PSD ,half TTA and the rest LC 08.
I have loaded 100 rounds twice now, it is holding up well being shot from an FN49 Argentine, which can be hard on cheap brass. |
