Who makes the Remington O/U?

Was looking at a 28 at Acadamy. Very nice fit and finish, just a great feeling little gun. LAst I heard Rem was importing russians but I knew this wasn't soviet. It was stamped Italy but that was it. Anyone know?

IIRC, John, Sabatti makes the Premiers. Quality is mid grade, not junk but not up there with Perazzis, etc.

Well if I ever hit the lottery (I guess it would help if I bought a ticket) I'll be first in line for a Perazzi (man those things are sweet) This was $999 which is cheaper than anything decent I've found in 28 so far. Still not hot on the O/U idea but I'm warming up to it.

Dave, I think I know the answer to this, but do you think they're better than the new mossy and stevens O/U's?

Yes.

I've only fired one Premier, a 12 gauge. The owner was quite happy with it, as a casual clays and uplander. I liked it, though the LOP was a little short for me.

The Stevens and Mossbergs, alas, seem to have too many issues....
