How hard is it to replace the grip? Want to put on a hogue on my colt ar.Never mind saw the potterfield info on utube. Was told earlier that all kinds of springs and things would fall out if I tried it.Turns out its very simple to swap out grips.

Yes it's easy, you only have to watch out for the spring and pin that hold the safety selector in place.

Yeah, I think a lot of people get intimidated over building/modifying their rifles. It really isn't difficult at all.

Using the correct tool is the most important part.

Correct tool,

AKA a screw driver

just unscrew and note were the spring fits

then swap grips and re-install spring and new grip

id recommend a LONG big screw driver
(by witch i mean the flat head and not a philips )

Takes 30 secs and a screwdriver. I like the Magpul MOE rubberized grip myself.

I'll second the MOE+ grip. Good ergos, and a comfy rubber texture on them.

Mine have hex-head cap screws, screw driver won't fit... Long L-shaped Allen wrench needed.

I like the Gunfighter grip mod 2. Seems to fit my hands better.

Magpul grips are fantastic, as is the Troy Enhanced Battle Grip.
