Need help removing grips

I just got a brand new 686 with special edition wooden talo grips. I wanted to
get the regular version with the hogue but my dealer didn't have it in stock.
How do I remove the wooden grips without damaging it. I removed the one screw in the middle of the handle, but do I do next? Is there a special way to pry it off? The grip is a wrap around beneath the trigger and base of the handle. Any suggestions?

If the grips are wood, place the screw back in the hole, and thread it into the other grip by 1 or 2 turns. Then tap the screw head with the screwdriver handle. This will force the opposite grip loose. Unscrew the screw and remove the loose grip. Tap the remaining grip off with the screwdriver from the inside.
DON'T try to push the remaining grip off with your thumb or fingers. If you do, when it breaks loose you will get a very nasty gouge on that digit!
