NC star scopes

I know I will get bashed for putting this out their, but I am on a budget. I have 4 kids and a wife that doesn't like me putting nice new pieces on my AR 15. I recently have purchased or in the process of purchasing this scope and wanted to see if anyone who has owned it has feedback on it??? Thank you in advance!

Haven't shot that model, but I bought a $50 NC Star with mount about two years ago and it was junk. Would not hold zero. Maybe they have gotten better.

The only NC-Star scope I've ever tried (not sure the model, cost $55 at a gunshow) lasted a total of 3 rounds on my AK till the crosshair broke....haven't tried another one since.

I put one of their 2-6X28 compact scopes on my AR-15. It was an OK scope once it was sighted in. It held zero just fine.
Problem is, the clicks are marked "1/4 @ 100 yds" and sometimes they move that much. Sometimes they move 1/2" or an inch. It's a pain. I replaced it with a TruGlo 3-9X with illuminated reticle and BDC. You can have the NcStar for $18 if you want it and I'll pay the shipping.

I have one of their 2.5X pistol scopes on my SKS and a 4X pistol scope on my Mosin Nagant. Both are OK.

Anything by BEC and all cheap red dots are a waste of money.

I have 4 of them and have never had a problem w/ any of them for range use. They are a good low budget scopes. Like the old addage says "You get what you pay for". Look at Millett or Seals. I know the Seals are made in Japan. Or look around for good used glass out there.

My 3-9x40 works fine, but it's on a 10/22 and doesn't get much jarring around.

I got one complete with integral mount for mini14. It did not work - flopped around because the mounting plate did not fit. Would NEVER buy another nor recommend one.

My friends tried his new Chinese NC Star scope and the first 3 shots did group but by the end of the 20 round box they were all over the place. He could never got any groups out of it after that. He finally went with a Leupold 1x4 for $299 and loves it.
With the Chinese scope like Famous Maker, etc you get less than what you pay for. There is something upsetting about throwing a scope in the garbage pale.
