Walker load advice
I have a ASM Walker and have been shooting 50gns. of Pyrodex fffg with round ball. I fired a few cylinders with 60gns with no problem other than the loading lever dropping down a couple times. My question is,a friend gave me 2 lbs.of GOEX ffg black powder can I still load 50gns and would 60gns still be OK? I thank all for any input.

If by 'OK' you mean safe, then yes, it would be safe to shoot 60 grains/volume of ffg real black powder in your Walker.
However, if 'OK' means accurate, then the answer is no. |

Yes, OK was a safety question.I just like more smoke when showing friends the cannon.I find 50gns fffg to be the most accurate.I wasn't sure if real black powder was more powerful than the Pyrodex. Thank you.

I shoot 25 grains of Triple Seven under a lubed patch, then ball. Not a huge load but Triple Seven has more kick than Goex. Works!

I just may have to give that load of Triple 7 a try in my Walker bn12. I have some left I been wanting to get rid of but don't want to throw it away. Try different loads in the Walker. Wonder how it would work in a Drgoon?
