SWAT in Baghdad Iraq
Hi Rich and crew,
Had time to hit the PX yesterday and found SWAT. Between that and some Skoal, my month was made. Both items fly off the shelves here and a PX trip is rare, so I was double lucky. You guys ever going to get Uncle Leroy to review something he dosen't like? Warm regards from the sandbox, Al Thompson

Al-
Sincerely good to hear from you. Leroy has come across a lot of things he does not like, but prefers to write only about those he thinks he has merit. Stay safe over there, and thanks for all you're doing. Denny

Al - Great to hear from you again, virtually speaking.
Hope all is as well as can be for you. PX trips are rare, eh... PM me with your address and I'll send you a few of my back issues of S.W.A.T. Anything else you need? -Dave

Dave, thanks! We are doing OK, the Army is treating us well.
Denny, I was hoping for some discussion on why the MP-5 is not obsolete or what factors would warrent using it over an M4. The article was great, but was more of a "How to get a range approved and conduct training" than a MP-5 primer. How about an article on the 416 upper and like systems?

Pat Rogers has a 416 and has been running it hard for an article. We'll have an article on it once he gets 5K plus through it to see how it holds up. Denny

Al,
I don't think there really are reasons why one would deliberately choose a MP-5 over an M4. Keep your head down, and I can't wait 'till you get back. |

Al's on the downhill side of that equation, too.
He's old enough to be my daddy if he'd started really young...and I'm old enough to be President, now... |
