S&W 17-4 (how old is it)?

hi all - i got a 17-4 (8-3/8") the other day & can't find anything to help me date it. i imagine it's not that old....just curious.
the s/n is 33KXXXX (has .22 long rifle ctg stamped on the barrel). does anyone know how i might go about finding out how old it is? much appreciated!!

?? 3K3XXXX serial number was used in 1972, 33KXXXX, sorry, don't have the foggiest

33K should come from 1978/79.
