45 gap and a revolver

I came across some 45 gap brass and was wondering if they could work in a 45 acp revolver with moonclips? I really don't know if they would be worth messing with, but hey, they were free.

I know from what the Lyman Pistol & Revolver 3rd edition says that the rim of the GAP is rebated. If the rims go into the moon clips then they should work. Just be aware that pressures may be higher than the .45 acp due to smaller cases. I know that .45 GAP can be reloaded with .45 ACP dies. I loaded a few for a firend. They worked.
