Chinese Guns in the PX
Set aside discussions of quality, warranty, and etcetera. I got into a discussion with a Chinese entrepreneur and a couple of other guys at the gym. I think he actually respected me for acknowledging the elephant in the room. After going over some details on Chinese manufacturing, I added that it bothers me that U.S. Army exchanges sell knock off 870's manufactured by Chinese govermnet owned companies and that while we trade with and consider countries we once fought to be allies, Korea just seems different.

I got lost at the end - did you mean "China just seems different"?

That's interesting that the PX has those for sale, but the BX I go to doesn't.

That's always confused me to no end too. We can get anything we pretty much want from China, Russia, Vietnam, and a whole slew of other countries... but billy-be-danged if we can get a cigar or a bottle of rum from Cuba.
And for a real kicker, ya'll just try to order anything off of Amazon-UK or Midway-UK! Seems they aren't over that whole revolution thing.

No, Scott. I meant Korea just seems different. While it may have been the "Korean" War, many of the so called "volunteers" fighting with the North Koreans were Chinese.

I've never seen Panda Express spelled "gym".
