Hello folks,

I keep reading, every now and then, about this die and the wonderful results people obtain with it on revolver cartridges.

I have always had good cartridges with the classic RCBS Roll Crimp Die, but if this Redding thing is so good, I'm willing to try it.

Anybody who's using one will care to comment?

TIA,
Albert.

Using them in 38 Special, .357 Mag, 41 Mag, 44 Special, 44 Mag, and 45 Colt.

They first apply a gentle taper, and can be adjusted to finish with an extremely uniform roll at your desired level.
I've tested them back-to-back with loads using Lee, Lyman, Hornady, Dillon, and RCBS crimp dies, and in ALL cases the Redding dies produce more accurate ammunition.
At the prices I charge that's imperative.

I will second WESHOOT2's comments on the Redding die. I use them for .32 S&WL/MAG, 38/357 MAG/MAX, 44 SPL/MAG, .45 AutoRim/ACP/Colt. I have found ammo crimped with them to be more accurate than other brands. This has been proven in my Ransom Rest many times and I won't use anything else.

Is it also suitable for cast bullets in these cartridges?

Perfect...I use it on 45 Colt ammo....335g's at 1170-1230+fps; no 'crimp jump'.

The difference it made in accuracy with my .357 180g JHP/1230fps was considerable; over 7" at 100yds.

Wow, thank you folks.

It seems that Redding will have two more customers pretty soon...
