RL 17 in 223 rem ?? load for 284 150gr Rl 17

Anyone tryed RL 17 in these cartridges.

RL 17 for 223? No.

But I do like RL 15, H322, H335 a lot.

Tried RL 10x & RL 7. But havnt settled on loads for these 2 yet.

I favor RL 7 in 55 grain FMJBT for my AR15

I think that 17 is a little too slow. In my bolt gun, H4985 has been good. 3260 with 55NBT ain't shabby.

Ive foung R15 to be the same relative rate as varget or 4895--a bit on the slow side for most bullets--means you cant get enough in the case to get efficient velocity. Will work OK with 77 & 80 gr. bullets. Real doubt is can you get enough in there to provide reasonable velocity with any wgt bullet(R-17 which is slower still).
