Has anyone done any comparitive tests to see which is faster? (I'm aware of the differences in speed and fields of view.) My use is short range defensive shotgun.

I bought a pair of big dot Ashleys to replace the factory sites on a Glock 27. Upon shooting and training them, I have replaced all of my sites w/ the small dot tritium(found the big dots too large for CQB shooting). Target acquisition is fast and accurate. At CQB distances I find my self using only the front site. And this method w/ these sites is a sure hit. My qualification score even went up. I highly recommend these sites to anyone looking for an alternative to 3-dots.

Erik, what were the factors in putting the express sights on for Africa?

Something I forgot to add was that on a pistol the Ashleys are so much faster than the ghost ring set up. On a long gun I find it easier to line them up, more than likely due to the longer site radius. But on a pistol, especially a defensive weapon, I find myself more apt to point shooting. What can I say, I've heard front site, front site, front site so many time its maddening. Trying to look over the ghost ring or trying to focus on it at CQB ranges was just too slow for me.
