M1A National Match in green composite?
Local shop has a Springfield M1A, owner claims it is a "special edition" national match, stainless barrel with green composite stock, rear aperture is not hooded. I believe he said the manufacturers number was 2829.
Is this just a M1A Loaded? Does springfield make a NM in green composite? I appreciate the advice, I'm tempted to jump at this. |

"Special edition national match" doesn't ring any bells.
The loaded, national match and supermatch models are all available with stainless barrels, but the only green synthetic stock is the USMC camo McMillan available on the supermatch . It's possible that the rifle was re-stocked in a USGI stock. The best bet is to call Springfield Armory with the serial number and they can tell you how it left the factory. |
