Hornady Grendel Brass

After more than 40 years of using Hornady products with immense satisfaction, I've experienced the first problem. Bought 200 Grendel cases and all of them were .002 over SAAMI length, meaning they won't chamber in my AA without trimming. I've bought new cases from Win, Rem, Nosler, and Hornady. First time I've every had to trim new cases, so can't wait for response from Hornady, as the cases all came from the same lot.

What exactly do they measure?

Are you saying a .002 increase in total case length will not allow an empty case to chamber in your rifle?

I find that odd.

SAAMI specs for the Grendel Chamber is a max of 1.530 inches.

SAAMI Max for the case length is 1.520 Inches.

If your case are .002 over max ( 1.522) there should be no problem with them fitting into your Chamber as there is still .008 to play with.
