Dating my Winchester model 12

Hello,
I recently was given a Winchester model 12 20 ga. pump shotgun and would like to know when it was made and an approximate value. The serial# is 1056096. It has a 28" smooth top barrel(no vented ribs) and is a 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. I purchased it from a close friend and it was given to him by his mother who believe it or not..won the then new shotgun in a bar raffle. If only I could be so lucky! LOL. I appreciate any information concerning it.
Thank you,
Mark

Moel 12

Your gun was made around 1947. The value will be $00 to $600, depending on configuration, condition and originallity.. JFC

Those model 12's are great guns, the best IMHO. Keep it and shoot it.
