Best Place to Sell Ammo
I came into a large amount of ammunition in a variety of calibers. Any suggestions on the best place to sell. I am in Dallas and would prefer face to face as I dont know the rules of shipping ammo.
All suggestions are greatly appreciated. |

Is this Black Powder or cowboy ammo?
If its modern cased smokless you'd be better off in the for sale section at the bottom of the forum. You could specify FTF (Face to face) transfer & quit worrying about all the interstate transfer & shipping stuff that way.

Except he does not meet the criteria for posting in that area:

Am I in the wrong spot
I am just wondering if anyone knows the best way to sell surplus ammo. it is not black powder but a fair amount could be used for cowboy action shooting.
If I am in the wrong spot, I would be happy to delete post and move it elsewhere. |

Register and then post it for sale on the thehighroad.org in the Accessories for sale section.
http://www.thehighroad.org/ Make sure to include your state in the title of the thread. Specify if you're willing to ship it or if it's available face to face only (FTF). How to ship it by UPS Ground is outlined in this thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/archive/i.../t-498074.html If you don't have a UPS full customer service center near you then arrange to have UPS pick up the package because many of the local UPS stores won't accept packages with an "ORM-D, cartridges - small arms" label on it. Just be sure the ammo really IS suitable for cowboy shooting, there are specialized limits to ammo for that use which you may not be aware of.
There are lots of on line boards with buy & sell sections, or the local paper would probably get you local trade as long as you don't mind all the callers.

Some folks sell ammo by posting a notice on the bulletin board at the local gun clubs.
There's also a Texas hunting forum with free classified ads for members: http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php Good luck. |
