Keymod HELP!

Hi... So I bought my first keymod rail. Its a cheap-o, off brand (probably Chinese).

I then bought a BCM QD mount. They don't fit together!

Does each manufacturer have their own specs? I thought that they were supposed to be universal?

Or is my rail just a P.O.S.?

Please help!

They are supposed to be universal.. but since you bought a chinese knock off probably to dress up a airsoft gun vs the real thing... I wouldn't be shocked if the specs were way off.

This is why i say buy once cry once. Order the BCM Keymod rail, you won't regret it, super nice, and super light weight.

I own the 13 inch keymod rail from bravo company. Everything I've bolted to it went right on without problems.

The above post is most likely accurate.

I understand trying out a cheaper product to see if you like it, but this is a possible outcome. I dont put anything on my rifle or otherwise unless it's a proven product.

Go with the advice that HKfan gave, buy a quality rail. Midwest indutries makes a keymod as well, fyi.

Another thought, if you're trying to bolt your QD mount at the very end of the rail, move it back a slot, some keymod accessories need three holes to mount correctly. Flip it over and you'll see what I mean.

Returned it today. I will wait if I have to and spend the extra cash to get a known brand.
