I recently added a Glock 26 gen4 to my collection and I must admit it's a very very very great little pistol... I can shoot it better than my G17! don't know why... here is a useful item if you want greater capacity

Get a G26, put some good sights on it, an extended slide release and a good holster you won't regret!

I'll vote for the G19 the extra inch of barrel makes it a bit easier focus on the front sight.

First I'll point out that $500 for a used G26 is probably overpriced, even with the holster. Your likely to try a few of those before finding your favorite.

I have a G27 that I rarely carry because its heavy/thick and may become exposed while I work. (its an awsome gun though, and always nearby, truck)
No way in hell I'd carry a G19 as a civilian ccw - far too big and heavy for my daily life, comfort level, and I'm fairly certian I'll never need all those rounds in the first place.

You'd literally have to deputize and pay me to carry anything larger than a PM9, and it would be OWB for sure.

I chose the G26, because I spend a lot of my time in office wear and I thought it conceals better with the shorter grip. Accuracy is not a problem for me with the pinky curled under the grip. I also had in mind the versatility of using bigger mags, but I didn't wind up doing that. As evidenced by previous posts, the decision is far from universal, though, so consider your own needs based on your size, your usual mode of dress, etc.

But yeah...I CCW a G19...I wanted to get a G26..When my G27 was on my CCW line up. I sold the G27 when I got the G19. Confusing? Not really. Just how it happened. I don't know. Felt I already went with the baby Glock in .40 wanted it in 9mm but wanted the G19. Worked out.
