What class for IDPA?
Hey folks,
I've been reading through the IDPA rules and can't come to a conclusion on this question. I recently bought an HK45, and I've been trying to figure out which class division i'd fall under for IDPA. Thanks for your help

It's a .45 so you can shoot it in CDP.
You can shoot it in ESP if you like. You can decock it to a DA start and shoot it in SSP, too. |

It is allowed for use in CDP, ESP, and SSP (assuming it has the traditional DA/SA trigger like most other H&K pistols). If you shoot CDP, then you can only load 8 in the mags. For ESP and SSP, you run with 10 in the mags.

FYI: Division is your equipment. Class is your skill.
In your case the HK would shoot in SSP ESP or CDP depending on how you set the gun up at load and make ready. I'd go SSP personally. 10 rounds helps out IMMENSELY over 1911's running 8 on a long course. |
